Do you know an educator, librarian, or activist who has gone above and beyond to promote literacy and encourage positive social change within the Bronx community?
The Bronx is Reading is celebrating the 3rd annual Mover & Shaker of the Year Award and we need your help in honoring a literary revolutionary within the Bronx community.
Nominations are open September 29th-November 1st. Our TBIR committee will select five (5) award finalists to be announced on Thursday, December 1st. The winner will be officially announced in-person at the 6th Annual Bronx Book Festival Kickoff Party on Friday, June 9th, 2023.

The Mover & Shaker of the Year Award is an annual award created by The Bronx is Reading to honor a literary revolutionary within the Bronx community.
Nominations are open from April 15th-30th. The Bronx is Reading committee will select three (3) award finalists to be announced on Sunday, May 16th. The winner will be officially revealed on Tuesday, June 1st and will take part in a special in-conversation with a surprise guest author at our first-ever Virtual Educator Day, on Friday, June 11th, as part of this year’s 4th Annual The Bronx Book Festival.
